Setting Yourself Up For Success
By
Jason Osborn Warren Buffet is a man that has achieved great success in his lifetime. He is a role model to both investors and non-investors alike.
In your journey of success and greatness you should always learn from people that have success in their own lives.
You don't always have to agree with everything they say, but you do have to remember that they are successful because of specific reasons.
Some of these reasons can help you become successful as well.
When you think of Warren Buffet you may think of someone who has done great things, and maybe even some impossible things.
It's easy to look at people like him and automatically think that the only way to have great success is to jump huge hurdles and do incredible things in life.
However Warren Buffet doesn't give that advice. As a matter of fact, he once said, 'I don't look to jump over 7-foot bars; I look around for 1-foot bars that I can step over.'
You see, he may have some big goals and dreams but he didn't set himself up for failure by trying to do things that were impossible for him to do.
Instead, he found things that he could do that made it easier for him to become successful on a consistent basis.
If you become consistently successful at something, you eventually become an expert at it just as he did with investing.
The amazing thing about this is that once you start to consistently step over the 1-foot bars, the seven-foot bars somehow shrink in size.
The reason this happens is because you have grown. You have grown in experience, wisdom, and knowledge.
You keep growing to a point where people begin to look at you in the same way they look at Warren Buffet; and they believe that you are great at doing big things in life.
What they don't know is that all you have been doing is consistently stepping over the one-foot bars!
The Semel bashing doesn’t stop there, however, as Jackson also
takes the opportunity to call for the replacement of the much
maligned CEO, along with most of the company’s Board of Directors:
